Julie and Bassuria came into SAFE as urban strays. We don’t know what happened to them on the street but they are both very frightened of people. It seems that Bassuria has stepped up to be the defender, the confident one who protects and keeps things safe for Julie who hangs back and lets him sort things out.
These two have been at SAFE quite a while. Some small progress has been made and Julie will now sit in view when mealtimes come around but although we try to make SAFE Haven as stress-free as possible and we’ve done the best we can, we think it’s time that these two went into a real home where they deal with the same person every day, a home which is quiet with someone who will support them and take them under their wing so that they can take baby steps into starting to trust again. It will take some time for these two to relax in your home so you need to be prepared to let them take as much time as possible to come around. We will be on hand with advice and support if you can extend a lifeline to these two beautiful young cats.
