At SAFE we believe that individual action makes a difference & when individuals join together great things can be achieved for animals. A bequest to SAFE either in the form of money or real estate will ensure you make a lasting impact on the lives of many pets.
If you are an animal lover, leaving a legacy & passing on something wonderful is possibly the greatest gift you will ever bestow. If you have animals you may be fortunate that a friend or family member has offered to take them in even of your passing. However if there is no-one who can help & you want to be certain that your pet will be cared for and adopted into an appropriate, loving home, you can be confident that SAFE will step in.
Bequests can be made in 3 ways
Cash or Pecunary bequest when a specific $ amount is left to SAFE in your estate
Specific bequest when property, real estate, shares, art, jewellry etc are left to SAFE
Residuary bequest when SAFE receives a % of your estate (this sort of bequest keeps its value over the years).
We understand that making a will is a very personal matter & strongly advise that you consult a solicitor, however if you would like to make a bequest to SAFE we suggest you use the following wording in your will:
I (insert name here) give and bequeath to Sydney’s Animals For Everyone Rehoming Incorporated ABN 68 545 973 832 for its general purposes
[Choose and insert the appropriate statement from the list below]
- the whole of my estate
- (insert number) percentage of my estate
- the residue of my estate
- the amount of $ (insert the value of your gift in cash)
- my (insert
name of asset)
free of all duties. I direct that the receipt of the [Secretary/Treasurer] or other authorised officer for the time being shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the Executor(s).’
