Welcome To SAFE

SAFE (Sydney’s Animals For Everyone) is a not-for-profit registered charity, launched in September 2017 by former staff of the Animal Welfare League. We are dedicated animal lovers trying to make a difference in animal rescue and rehabilitation in Sydney.

We have a rehoming centre for cats in Roseville, Sydney, called SAFE Haven, and we care for dogs in foster homes.

Our charity depends on donations from the public and we also offer premium boarding facilities to supplement this income. Click here for information on boarding. Whilst caring for these pets is something we would all do for free if we could, we require support from the community to fund food and medication and to pay one member of staff to manage the facility. You can donate towards the running of SAFE Haven by clicking here . All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

We have set up SAFE Haven without any help from the local council or the government and you can help us by urging them to support us at every opportunity. The issue of unwanted animals affects everyone in Northern Sydney and is not going to go away.

And remember ADOPT DON’T SHOP!!

Our beautiful animals are surrendered by the public or come from the pound.  They are microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas/worms and health checked. In the rare case that an animal has a behavioural issue SAFE has two experienced, qualified behaviourists who assess, treat and if necessary train them before adoption. They also help the general public with pet issues. For more information click here or contact us.

We have earned a reputation as a trusted place where unwanted, homeless and stray animals can be cared for until they are matched with new  owners. If you have a pet who means the world to you, please consider giving us your support in whatever way you can to help less fortunate pets who find themselves at SAFE Haven through no fault of their own.

We truly believe there is a perfect home for each animal and that there is a perfect home for them all!
