Microchipping

It is important to get your pet microchipped and identified on the NSW Pet Register.

If your pet goes missing, provided you have kept your details up to date on the New South Wales Pet Registry website (www.petregistry.nsw.gov.au), the details on the microchip will identify you as the owner and you will be contacted when your pet is found.

In line with NSW companion animal legislation, SAFE will have microchipped your animal before adoption and advised you how to register your pet.

If you did not adopt from SAFE and you have an animal that is not microchipped you could be fined. So to comply with the law and to ensure you can be contacted if your pet goes missing, SAFE offers a microchipping service at the very competitive rate of $40. To book a time please contact us on 0403 753 227.
