Sook is a beautiful dog with a lot of love to give! However she much prefers to give this love to her humans over other dogs; she loves cuddles and belly rubs and is a giant lap dog at heart. She prefers to be an inside dog, ideally with access to an outdoor area and/or plenty of walks to ensure her exercise needs are met. She is also good with kids, especially those who enjoy having their faces cleaned by a dog tongue every so often.
Sook can be unpredictable around other dogs and for this reason she is not a dog who would be able to frequent a dog park or dog beach. And while she walks very well on lead, she would also require careful management while on walks to ensure her interaction with unknown dogs is limited. Sook has responded very well to the behaviour training she has received so far and has several basic commands down very well, which of course means she can and will learn given ongoing training for both dog socialisation and loose lead walking, however it’s important to understand she may never be a dog that can go to a dog park and ongoing training while she is still young is a requirement.
As she may grow up to be around 45kgs, she needs a lot of love and patience but would make a for a lovely companion when this is provided. Behaviour advise will be given upon meeting Sook to anyone who thinks they have a large enough lap to accommodate her.
