Buddy is a highly active 2 year old Rottweiler cross. He had a neglectful past and is very inexperienced with other dogs so is very excited and silly when meeting them. He will walk beside a dog well but has a very full on style when dealing with them face to face, which most will find irritating. He will need an experienced owner who can teach him the basics and give him all the love he deserves.
Buddy has met cats through a screen door while he seems good at not focusing on them, he has not met them face to face yet. He is good with older kids who don’t run around screaming like interactive toys and is pretty good at not jumping on them.
He is very gentle when taking treats which is a positive for ongoing training and LOVES running around with a toy in his mouth. As a large dog who forgets his own size, a home where he can continue his training as well as having owners who know big dogs and will allow him to sit in their lap or lean on them and stand on their toes will be ideal for Buddy!
