Opie is a cute senior cat who was happily living with his family until recently. During this time, he was very social and affectionate, enjoying lots of attention and cuddles.
As a 9 year-old recent surrender, he has been used to his old home for so long, this change in circumstance has been a difficult time for Opie. One of the behaviours we’ve observed from this is that he likes to escape from his condo at feeding time! We think he’s likely to flourish once he’s settled back into a household.
We are aware that Opie can get over stimulated and is therefore best suited to a quiet home with children over 12 and no other pets. It is likely Opie will take a little while settling in, so will need an owner with patience and a place with lots of hidey holes and observation spots, where he can become familiar with the new sounds and smells around him while he learns to trust and become affectionate little Opie again.
