Nutmeg is a beautiful 1-year-old mumma cat who is more than ready to find a home of her very own now that all of her kittens have been adopted. After doing such a wonderful job raising her babies, it’s finally Nutmeg’s turn to be spoiled and loved.
She is a friendly girl who enjoys human company, but she also has an independent streak and likes things on her terms. Nutmeg is very good at setting boundaries and will quickly let you know if she’s uncomfortable or not enjoying something, so she would thrive with people who respect her space and understand cat body language.
Nutmeg is desperate to leave the enclosed shelter environment behind and would absolutely love a home where she has room to roam, explore, and enjoy her surroundings at her own pace. Once settled, she will make a lovely companion for someone looking for a cat with both affection and personality.
She has become used to the resident dog at the shelter and should be fine living in a home with a calm, respectful dog. Due to her confident nature and clear boundaries, Nutmeg would be best suited to a home with children over 12 years old.
