Maple is one of those cats that you just want to stroke. Whenever you approach she rubs against the door & it seems like she really wants to be friends. However she is scared and unsure and giving us mixed messages so if you come to meet her she may not respond positively.
Rewind a few weeks and Maple was happily in a comfortable life. Although somewhat temperamental, her owner states that she was a loving cat….. but on her own terms….
You see, something very dramatic happened to Maple & her cosy life.
A new baby arrived out of the blue.
Maple was no longer the centre of attention and didn’t understand what was happening. Things went wrong, she didn’t cope well & so in her best interests she was surrendered. We have been told that Maple can be a loving cat but only when she wants to be. She doesn’t like competing for attention and needs to be the only cat in the house. At the moment she is still quite anxious so we would like her to go to a home as soon as possible, at the very least to find out how she behaves, so if you would like to give this beautiful ginger girl a chance we would be willing for you to foster her, perhaps with a view to adoption.
