Macadamia (champagne male) and Walnut (tabby female) are a bonded pair of extremely friendly 10 months old kittens.
Walnut has a sweet, charming nature and is incredibly affectionate. She loves human attention and quite happily sits on the carer’s lap or on the desk next to her.
Beautiful Macadamia sustained a head injury before he came to SAFE which has left him with poor vision and with deafness. He can see shadows and hear sounds but can’t decipher where they’re coming from. Unsurprisingly he is a little more cautious than Walnut. It’s most noticeable when he wants to jump onto something but needs ‘stepping stones’ to get there. When it is food time he gets so excited that he runs in circles, which is very endearing.
Both of these cuties are very playful, and particularly enjoy playing with string toys. When they get tired they love to cuddle up together. Walnut is very caring towards her brother and Macadamia finds it very comforting having his sister close by.
Due to Macadamia’s situation we feel this pair would be better suited to a home without children under 16. It would be great if their new family was home a lot as Walnut and Macadamia enjoy human company. Like most cats they thrive on routine.
