Meet Leclerc, a striking black-and-white 5-year-old cat with a playful spirit. He loves to run, chase, and engage in a bit of rough-and-tumble fun, especially with other cats. In the shelter, he’s shown he can enjoy the company of both adult cats and kittens, both out on the floor and playing through the enclosure wires with curiosity and enthusiasm. With a proper introduction, he could do well with feline companions in a home setting.
Leclerc’s relationship with people is more complex, his behaviour can sometimes be unpredictable. That may be down to the fact that he gets excited when someone pays him attention but it would be great if the person who adopts him understands cat body language and can respect his boundaries. Its possible that shelter life simply doesn’t suit him, and in a patient, cat-savvy home, we hope he will truly thrive. He would love some space and time to settle into a new home and feel secure. We all have a soft spot for him at SAFE and believe he could become a wonderful, interesting and rewarding companion.
