Chester, a bright and charismatic nine-month-old kitten, has quickly earned the nickname “the court jester” for his charming mix of silliness and sweetness. He arrived at SAFE two months ago after being rescued by a compassionate Good Samaritan. In his first foster home, Chester loved nothing more than being cradled in his carer’s arms, soaking up affection and comfort. However, the shelter environment proved overwhelming for him; the noise and bustle made it hard for him to relax. Recognising this, we found him a quieter foster home—one where he immediately settled, exhaled, and revealed his true personality.
Chester is a delightful combination of quirky energy and heartfelt affection. He’s a little bit nuts, more than a bit cute, and almost guaranteed to make you laugh out loud at least once a day. Curious about everything, he loves to chat with his humans and investigate whatever catches his eye. He adores pats and scratches, and once he trusts you, he leans into them with enthusiasm. Playtime is one of his favourite parts of the day, and he has the intelligence and eagerness to learn that make him wonderfully trainable.
He is also a social butterfly with other cats, always keen to make friends and join in on whatever fun is unfolding around him. Despite his lively nature, Chester has shown that he can settle quickly in a calm, predictable environment. For this reason, he would thrive best in a quieter home, preferably one with older children who understand his sensitive streak.
