Meet Betty, a resilient survivor who arrived at our shelter very thin, malnourished and pregnant. Despite facing tremendous challenges on the street, she surprisingly gave birth to seven kittens in our care, though sadly, five didn’t survive probably due to a combination of developmental issues and the fact that Betty couldn’t provide enough milk. Struggling to survive herself, Betty became depressed and became detached from her two remaining kittens and she has now begun to recover and put on some weight. Despite her hardships, Betty has always been incredibly affectionate and she will integrate into any loving family with children over 5 to become the treasured family cat.
