Seems an obvious name for a ginger tabby? (clue: baked beans!). Beans is an affectionate 3 year old who was brought to SAFE by a concerned member of the public who found him living on the street. They were concerned that there was something wrong with his eye which appeared to be sunken. Our vet determined that as the eye was not functional and to prevent any further infection occuring, the best thing for Beans was to make him an honorary pirate…The photos show Bean’s journey – before surgery, recovering afterwards and the handsome boy he is now!
Although he is initially cautious with new people, once he knows them, Beans is friendly, really affectionate and quietly determined. He is only 3 years old so he is still active and we know that once he is settled into a loving permanent home, Beans will be a confident cat and a treasured member of the family. Having only one eye makes him somewhat nervous around loud noises or sudden, unexpected movements so he will need to be kept indoors in a quietish home with no children under 12.
