Autumn is a gentle one-year-old girl who has been patiently waiting for her forever home for far too long.
Autumn came into care 12 months ago with her five tiny babies, who were just five days old at the time. She was a wonderful mum, and one by one, all five of her kittens found their forever families. Sadly, Autumn is still waiting for someone to choose her.
Like many shy cats, Autumn can easily be overlooked at a busy rehoming centre. She is now comfortable in our care, but she is still a little reserved and isn’t particularly keen on being touched. Instead, Autumn prefers to quietly be near the people she trusts. Once she gets to know you, she enjoys your company and shows that she has the potential to become a wonderful companion.
Autumn initially spent time in foster care, so we know she can live happily with other cats, provided introductions are slow and carefully managed.
What Autumn really needs is a family who will see her for the beautiful girl she is and understand that trust takes time. She doesn’t need to be rushed or expected to become an instant lap cat. She simply needs someone willing to let her settle in at her own pace and discover, in her own time, just how lovely having her own family can be.
Autumn would be best suited to a quieter home where she can feel safe, secure and loved for exactly who she is. Could you be the patient person who finally gives this gentle girl the forever home she has been waiting for?
To meet Autumn, please come to our Rehoming Centre in Mona Vale any day between 10 am & 4pm
