Archie’s transformation has been beautiful.
He adores gentle affection – especially chin rubs and scratches on his ears and the base of his tail – and he will roll onto his back purring and sometimes drooling with pleasure.
Archie is an easy cat to take care of – he’s not overly interested in food but eats heartily and consistently and when he’s had enough social time he quietly retreats to a safe place
What makes Archie so special is his quiet resilience. His journey hasn’t been easy. Rescued from the street, he came to SAFE shut down and scared with a scruffy coat that mirrored his broken spirit. For quite a while he hid away, too frightened to interact but over time, with the patient, loving care of our volunteers, he slowly started to believe that people can be kind.
His confidence has blossomed and now he’s ready for the next step into a calm, loving forever home.
His ideal place will be a quiet, adult-only home with patient people who will respect his boundaries and alone time and let him adjust at his own pace.

You may not get instant cuddles from Archie, but what you will get is something deeper: the privilege of watching a once-frightened soul slowly open up to you, y. One day, that may mean he’s curled up on your lap—or maybe he’ll always prefer just being near you, content in your quiet companionship.
However his affection takes shape, it will be genuine, hard-earned, and deeply special.
